Tricia Stubberfield
Artist, designer and performer based on the Rame Peninsula, Cornwall
The Good Egg studio is based in a Napoleonic barracks building at
Maker Heights, neighboured by skylarks, artists, forest, musicians, fungi, swifts and martins and sea. It is my place to hide, to sing loudly and make.
My artwork explores coast and memory through materials and textures.
I carve, rub, saw, collect, press and move to gather traces from which I print impressions and arrange worlds. I work with things that make me - sea and forests and incongruity and puppetry and singing to the wind.
I'm an early career artist. I tried other careers but I'm not cut out for doing just one thing. I am currently studying on the MA programme at
Arts University Plymouth. I also design, perform, write and run.
